Thanks for sharing these delightful pictures of the blessings in your life, Holly! So far, my favorite age changes every year, on the birthday of my only daughter. :)
So sweet, Holly! When I was raising children, my favorite age was always the age they were. I can remember it as though it was yesterday...I'd find myself saying that their ages were perfect. Now that I have grandlittles and a different perspective, I think 4 is perfectly delightful. There's no pressure for us as homeschooling moms to be disciplined in their studies and they are not pressured to learn...they just do it naturally and it is delicious. In fact, it was when Nick was 4 that I made the decision to homeschool. I clearly remember thinking that just when he was old enough to carry on fun and meaningful conversations with me that it was unfair that I would soon need to send him off to school for a stranger (teacher) to enjoy him. Yeah....4 is my favorite.
Exactly, Patricia! :) Up until this year, I don't think I had settled. I do love every age. :) BUT - now that my three little boys are 4, 5 and 8, I have settled on the ages of 4 and 5. Old enough to be potty trained and even fairly responsible...(I said, "fairly...") and yet, no serious pressure with school. These little guys are just SO sweet.
I love babies, love the newborn stage, the crawling stage...LOVE two year olds and three year olds - so precious...but...you have potty training , naps to work around, and maybe really messy eating. (Not that any of that is terrible...it's just, well, you know. Harder.) :)
So - yes - 4 and 5! :)
And seventeen? They can drive and have great conversations. :)
I love, love, *love* my lil' Elijah Rock right now (I mean, of course, I always love him - you know what I mean!). Three is so sweet, so innocent, so free - not burdened down with society in any noticeable way yet. He is so free with his love for me, his Daddy, his siblings, his baby brother.....I am overwhelmed with it, it honestly takes my breath away~
What an awesome and beautiful family you have Holly. :D
ReplyDeleteI think my favorites are 3 & 4. :)

I don't have children of my own, but when I think of my niece and nephew, every age is my new favorite age. They just get cuter and cuter!
